Pete Barrs's boyhood dream has been too transverse two great oceans. It's about to come true.
Transversing Panama through the famous canal has long been a
dream of Pete Barr, CEO of the advertising firm of Fry, Hammond & Barr, Inc. " When the possibility arose to make the trip on Sea Gem with friends, I jumped at the chance, " said Barr, who will board Sea
Gem at Cristobal, Panama, then pass through the locks and cruise between two great oceans.
Once Sea Gem reaches sea level on the Pacific side Barr will bid his " mates a safe voyage on
their around-the-world adventure, " Barr added.
" This may be a short trip in miles for me, but a longtime dream come true. For the rest of my
life, I will replay this spectacular crossing of Panama in my mind. My thanks to Charlie and Saundra Gray for my time on Sea Gem."
