Marcia
Turner Frey
The Millennium Odyssey is one in a series of exciting, varied and interesting adventures for Marcia. Married 42 years to Lou Frey, Jr., U.S. Congressman from Florida, Marcia is the mother of 5 and
grandmother of 6. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she still considers herself a native Floridian, having lived in Winter Park since 1961.
In that time, she has sold real estate, hosted her own TV show and has immersed herself in the community. She has served as a board member and chairman of both the Atlantic Center for the Arts, an
artists' residence facility in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, and the Center for Independence, Technology and Education (CITE), a rehabilitation and training center for visually and multi-handicapped children and adults in
Orlando, Florida. In her spare time, Marcia travels extensively, enjoys most sports and loves boating and deep-sea fishing. When asked about her thoughts on the Millennium Odyssey, Marcia replied:
" HIYAKAHO " ( loosely translated from the Japanese, it means " Don't let the door hit you on the way out...let's get underway.") |
