When the opportunity to be part of the Sea Gem crew was presented to Fred by Charlie and Saundra Gray, he accepted with enthusiasm and anticipates sailing on the leg from Fiji to
Australia. His interest in sailing began when he was a Boy Scout in Daytona Beach and his scout master built a sail boat in the backyard, turning it into a group project. Fred enjoys
outdoor activities with his son's Boy Scout unit, including camping, hiking and a variety of other civic activities.
A native of Dayton Beach, Vicki Leonhardt has been in the retail jewelry business her entire
career. Vicki graduated from Agnes Scott College with a degree in history, is active in a variety of community organizations and is always willing to visit different parts of the world.
Fred and Vicki took a sailing trip in July of 1997 on the Yankee Clipper, sailing from Granada to St. Vincent, and found it a delightful experience. Vicki has hoped since them for an
opportunity to sail again on an extended trip and looks forward to being part of the Sea Gem crew.
